Honest version: gift cards aren’t live yet. The infrastructure is there, the catalog is small enough that the page would be a good fit, and it’s on the short list. It just hasn’t shipped.
What’s planned
Digital cards, redeemable on anything in the catalog, in fixed denominations of $25, $50, $100, and $200. Sent by email on a date you pick “” now, or scheduled for a birthday, a closing, a launch. The recipient gets a redemption code. The buyer gets a receipt. No expiration, no fees.
What you can do today
If you want to give a specific piece, place the order and ship it directly to the recipient. The shipping notification doesn’t include a price; the receipt comes back to you. The address goes into the gift order, not the order under your account.
If you want the recipient to choose, email hello@clothedcaptioned.com with the subject line gift and the amount you have in mind. We’ll work out a manual code and a one-line note for the recipient, and we’ll send the receipt to whichever email you specify. Slightly artisanal, but it works, and it works today.
