About ClothedCaptioned

I started ClothedCaptioned because I kept writing down lines that didn’t belong on a listing brochure or in a group chat — lines I wanted to wear, or hang, or hand to a friend after a closing. Most days I work in commercial real estate. The rest of the time I’m building something on the side: software, a listing, a system. A lot of what shows up on these pieces comes out of those rooms.

The label is small on purpose. Every caption has to earn its place — it has to mean something specific to a specific person, and it has to read clean on a chest, a wall, or a mug. I’d rather ship one good line a season than fifteen forgettable ones.

There’s no design committee. I write the captions, choose the typography, pick the substrates, and approve the proofs. If a piece references something I like — a market cycle joke, a builder’s habit, a sentence I borrowed from a book — that’s the whole brand strategy. Wear what you’d quote. Hang what you mean.
