This is the practical version. Plain English, no defensive legalese, but accurate. ClothedCaptioned is a small storefront run by Third Party Services LLC. We collect a few specific things, use them for a few specific reasons, and don’t sell any of it.
What we collect
When you place an order, we collect the name, shipping address, billing address, and email you give us at checkout, plus the order itself. Stripe handles payment information directly; we never see or store your card number, only the last four digits and the order receipt Stripe returns to us.
When you subscribe to the newsletter, we collect your email address and the date you signed up. Nothing else.
When you visit the site, our hosting platform logs your IP address and browser user-agent string for the limited purpose of preventing abuse (spam, brute-force login attempts, scraping). These logs roll off on a short cycle and are not joined to your account or your orders.
How we use it
Order data is used to fulfill your order “” that means sending it to Printify, our print and shipping partner, who produces and ships the piece. Your email is used for the order confirmation and shipping notification, and, if you opted in, the newsletter. We don’t run remarketing campaigns or send promotional email outside the newsletter.
Who else sees your data
Two named processors. Stripe handles payment; their privacy policy applies to payment data. Printify handles fulfillment; your shipping name and address are passed to them and their print partner so the piece can be made and mailed. We do not share or sell data to anyone else, ever “” not to ad networks, not to data brokers, not to other merchants.
Cookies
The site sets a session cookie required for the cart and checkout to work. Our caching layer (LiteSpeed) sets a small cookie used only to serve the right cached page version. We don’t run third-party tracking pixels or analytics scripts. There is no cookie banner because there isn’t anything to consent to beyond the cookies the site needs to function.
Your rights
You can ask us what data we have on you, ask for a copy, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@clothedcaptioned.com with the subject line data request and we will reply within five business days. Order records may be retained for the legally required period for tax and accounting purposes “” typically seven years “” but everything else can be removed on request.
Newsletter unsubscribe
Every newsletter has a one-click unsubscribe link in the footer. Click it once and you’re off the list. You don’t need to email us to leave.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS only. Logins to the admin side are rate-limited and protected against brute-force attempts. Payment data lives on Stripe’s infrastructure, not ours.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the date below will change with it. Material changes will be noted at the top of the page for thirty days.
